My little baby turned 5 and I couldn’t believe it! It seems just yesterday she was crawling and now, she’s a sweet little girl, not a baby, not a toddler, a little girl.
I love birthday planning with the girls. I love brainstorming themes and then DIY the entire party. I couldn’t do it without my hubby, Rizwan, together we make the cutest birthday parties for our little girls. Because of COVID, Layla’s 3rd and 4th birthdays were celebrated at home without friends and relatives. We wanted this year to be a big celebration and so it was. Everything turned out so perfect! We had the birthday party at LOL play place in Stouffville. It is newly renovated and the entire playground is shades of pinks and purples. It was the perfect place to have a Minnie Mouse themed birthday! It was also very clean and spacious and I highly recommend it for birthday parties.
Rizwan made the Minnie Mouse bowtique backdrop. It looked amazing and Layla absolutely loved it! We added a balloon garland and a bunch of Minnie Mouse balloons with a Number 5 balloon to make it look extra fancy.
I wanted a long table at the center of the room so the kids can mingle while eating. The table setting turned out great. I found the cutest Minnie Mouse plates at Party City and Rizwan DIY the water bottle and juice boxes labels.
I made a two tier vanilla cake and added a fondant Minnie Mouse. On each side of the cake, I added pink chocolate balls so it looked like a mini balloon garland on the cake,
I also made vanilla cupcakes for the kids. I added fondant Minnie Mouse bows, mini Oreos as the ears and sprinkled white sprinkles to the pink frosting.
The cute loot bags are from party city and I added personalized name tags. I also placed a Minnie Mouse sugar cookie in each bag with a thank you note for attending Layla’s party.
The dessert table also had popcorn, chocolate mousse, Minnie ice cream cake pops and sugar cookies on mini acrylic stands.
Then we had the big surprise…. Minnie Mouse arrived! She was so cute and so interactive with the kids! It was the perfect touch to wrap up the party! She sang happy birthday, danced and took pictures with the kiddies. I would absolutely recommend the company, Mimi Pop in Toronto! It has excellent service. The website is http://www.mimipop.ca
